Head instructor Erin Hale and his team of professional guides make this a fun and educational way to experience the world of fly fishing. This class gives you the opportunity to kick the tires of fly fishing and see if it’s for you, or to just have memorable day on the water. All your major gear is provided when taking this class, that means waders, boots, rod and reel are all taken care of. Our time together is designed to give you the foundation of fly fishing by covering rigging, knots, reading water, entomology, fly selection, terminology and more during the first hour. The second part of the time is spent fishing while learning casting techniques, line management, sighting fish, proper drifting, hook sets, and how to fight and land or fishy friends. We also cater to individual needs to help advance abilities and understanding on specific topics. Our goal is to give you the confidence to be able to go out on your own to the river and have success. Fly fishing is a journey and we are all still learning no matter how long you have been fishing, so please don’t be intimidated. Weekday outings can be arranged by request by emailing everset.us@gmail.com.
